Very happy to be part of the group exhibition EXPOSICIÓN#02 at Gorila Arte Gallery in Madrid (Calle de Hilarión Eslava 49, 28015 Madrid) with other great artists. On view from 19 February to 30 April 2022.
We will be showing an installation that includes a series of paintings with the pieces distributed on the different interventions that are directly on the wall of the gallery, and a sculptural proposal of a series of 3 boxes.
The images selected in this proposal have in common their belonging to the culture and the imaginary that surrounds us. Rather than trying to make a direct criticism of the current culture, we invite the viewer to reflect on the connection of these images or icons, their importance in society, and to what extent we have become accustomed to coexist with them.
Through the application of a very personal technique and subtle irony we resort to appropriation, free interpretation and association of ideas that reveal our sources of inspiration: the digital world, social networks and the use of personalities from popular collective unconscious.
