It’s always a pleasure to paint in Madrid, last year I painted in Chueca, this time I had the oportunity to paint in Malasaña. Once more, I had the chance to meet nice people and experience positive vibes.
This is my contribution to Pinta Malasaña 2019 in Madrid. Can be found at Remember (Calle de Velarde 20, 28004 Madrid).
It forms part of an initial idea that consisted of painting the two doors of the establishment. The diptych described initially “Este cuadro es muy pequeño para las cosas que sueño”. It’s a tribute to the area where was born one of the most recent social movements that was part of the cultural and ideological change and liberalization of Spanish society in the 80s.
